Group Meeting
- Cat
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
on friday we're going to go to central london and check out a number of locations e.g. trafalgar square, leicter square, natuaral history mueseum, southbank and we need some stairs....enfield town can still be used as another location or as a back up.
We've decided we're going to use some graphic matches in our footage...good visual hooks etc etc
We're still going to keep a loose storyline so that the audience but make everything abstract (use editing to mkae the audience create their own more detailed storyline)
I really feel we've moved forward today and everything seems to be coming together =]

Location 2
- The lighting is amazing and can all be controlled from the back of the room
- There are black curtains surrounding the whole performance area, so we don't have to worry about distractions
- There are platforms that we can use to raise the drums up a level
- Its so easy to access (with permission)
Luke
Location Idea - Enfield Town
I got loads of pictures for our location. I couldn't get any of the cobble stones in the town market because there were way too many people. But it still looked good.
We chose Enfield Town because:
- Its close to everyone
- The market has loads of cobble stones
- The houses are old down Gentlemans Row
- There are no cars down Gentlemans Row
- The streetlights all look quite old
I have colour versions of the shots as well if anyone wants to see them.

Femme Fatale Props
Cigarette Holder:
What do we reckon? Shall we try and get some of that veil-netting stuff for the hat?
Things we need for the femme fatale character:
- Hat?
- Cigarette holder?
- Red lipstick- Saxon said she'd bring some in tomorrow (10th September)--I now have it (Angela, 10th September)
- Face makeup/foundation/powder and some to possibly add highlights/shadows to the face subtley (though could go very wrong)
- Mascara
- Wicked femme-fatale style dress/skirty outfit
- Coat- possibly mine?
- High-heeled shoes
- Seamed stocking? (or too much?)
Though we still need to watch tons of films noir to get the costume etc. spot on.
Rekon we should do a quickie test-shoot tomorrow in the media block of the dashing femme fatale? =0
-Angela
Film Viewings/Screening
I watched Double Indemnity yesterday, and now have The Last Seduction and will hopefully watch it tonight and Cat's got Double Indemnity tonight.
Luke and Jim do you want to take a DVD each home tomorrow to watch?

Dress Rehersal/Test Shoot
Things to bring:
James:
- White shirt
- Skinny jeans
Luke:
- Hair styling products
- Costume
Cathryn:
- Girl blazer that might not work
-Angela
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I messaged Tom Henry (via a popular social networking website) and unfortunately he is unable to make the shoot tomorrow due to his prior commitments as a house officer/senior pupil (I forget which it is). I think we should try to arrange another date to do the test shoot with Tom Henry, possibly Wednesday lunchtime or after school on one of the days this week.
-Angela
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I think rearranging until wednesday is a good idea...try to get everyone together blah dee blah
Also that means it's less likely people will forget stuff
So yeah...guys still try and bring all your stuff tomorrow (tuesday) and we can leave it at school
-Cat----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Right, I just spoke to Luke and we reckon that perhaps we could rearrange this slightly rushed, short notice-y schedule.
What do we think of dress-rehearsing and test-shooting Luke and James tomorrow lunchtime, including hair, makeup and costume, and collaborate props and costume that people are bringing in tomorrow. We then arrange for our actors to come to a lunchtime session on Wednesday lunchtime, as there is more notice for them this way. Tomorrow we can perhaps use some stand-in actors to practice shots if we still have time after practicing the costume of Luke and James or even do some practice lip-synching? This would still be a good use of our time?
-Angela
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hmm maybe but why not just do all the 'dressing up' on wednesday when the whole band are present? I think james practicing his lip syncing tomorrow though is a good idea...but costume not necessary?
-Cat
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I just figured that any extra practice earlier on, especially seeing as James B is the main singer and should look old etc. would be good? Gives us longer to re-think his costume/hair etc. without leaving too much to be all last minutey?
-Forever yours,
Angela
-------------------------------------------------------
During this lunchtime session we discussed the organisation of the next shoot, and looked at and discussed the appropriateness of the props which people had brought in that day.
-Angela
Performance
James Burrough - Lead Vocals
James Woodbridge - Guitar
Tom Henry - Keyboard
Luke Diamond - Drums
Vivek - Bass???????
Costume
Everyone - Black skinny jeans (excluding luke beacuse he's sitting down)
James Burrough - tight white shirt, skinny tie
James Woodbridge - tight white t-shirt
Tom Henry - blazer, t-shirt?
Luke Diamond- Black shirt, white tie
-Cathryn
ricky gervais
This is funny, but it has a purpose. He is young and 80s, and the clothes probably wouldnt be out of date, if skinny jeans were worn instead of the tight leather trousers.
James
-------------------------------------------------------------
I really like this look and after looking at it as a group we have decided to basically steal it for james' performance...
-Cat
--
Steal?!
Now now Cat...
"Get inspiration from" surely....
xx luke
Shoot
- Costumes for all four members of the band - One blazer, four shirts/t-shirts, three pairs of skinny jeans (luke isn't wearing any because he will be behind the drums)
- Find two more actors for the band
- Get the music department to let us use thier drums, keyboards, mic stand and mic.
- Get a guitar and maybe sax.
- Plan a few shots, storyboard?
This is the stuff that we have, can people add to this list so we know what we need to get.
1 x dark grey skinny jeans - James
1 x black blazer (maybe not tight enough) - James
Black or white t-shirt if needed - James

Group Meeting
Things discussed:
- The band are going to be modern, but heavily influnced by 80s e.g. franz ferdinand
- The gold blazer idea appears to be abandoned
- We're filming test shoots in the drama department
Whole group!

Detective Costume
On the detective character:
He will need to be a hardcore, conventional, cliche, iconic detective man to make his identity/character type and hence the genre of the 'film' and what is going on in the narrative clear. Hence his costume will clearly be VERY important.
(eBay items).
Gold Blazer Idea
Luke's suggestion is to have the lead singer (played by James) wearing a gold blazer/jacket.
